Davis, teaching, MSI, Bella and babies

Yay school! As most people assured me, I would not be overwhelmed by school life here at Davis. And yet, in typical Sam fashion, I let myself get entirely worked up about it before I even had anything to base it on. Go figure. :P

Things are going so well lately. My classes are wonderful, although...how sad is it that I am more afraid to speak Spanish than French? I love both though, and linguistics is fascinating and education has been enlightening already.

In education news, I start teacher assisting tomorrow! I will be spending 30-40 hours this quarter at Holmes Junior High working in two periods of French 1. Yay! Go me! I'm so excited.

Other than that, Ryan came home this last weekend so that we could go to the Download Festival together. TO SEE MSI!!!!!one!!1 Holy crap that was amazing! Little Jimmy is so charismatic and striking. In all his pink fishnetted skirt glory!

Now...Bella and I are in a routine here at home. (it still doesn't feel quite natural to call this "home") I leave for any period of time, and Bella sits at the edge of the couch to see me off with a heart wrenching look that makes me feel like a horrible mother. Then I come home to find her running toward the sound of the opening door with such happiness on her face that I am overcome by her cuteness. Wow, and she's just a cat. How stupid am I going to get over a baby?

Another friend from the past is expecting a child. I can't get over how crazy and yet nice that sounds. Maybe in 5 or so years' time that will be me. But maybe not. But hopefully!
