And I, I've never felt so alive

Nobody uses diaryland anymore. Everyone on my buddylist but Ryan updated more than 3 months ago. Not that it bothers me really. Why start a livejournal to do exactly what I can do here anyway?

Anyway, life is really damn good right now. I'm in one of those all-around highs where everything is falling into place quite nicely.

For example:
I found the apartment I want to live in, and I'm going in on Monday to sign the lease. It's a simple one-bdrm but it's a nice bike ride to campus and it's quiet but social at the same time. And my dad is helping me out on the rent so that I can still live a comfortable lifestyle. That's really, really nice.

Work is a lot better now that we hired another guy for nights. It means I'm working less hours and I have someone new to talk to. He's pretty cool, so that definitely makes it an all-around plus.

My mom found an abandoned kitten in our backyard about two weeks ago. She is a strong little kitten and I have been bottle nursing her. It's been a pretty awesome experience. It's a lot of work too, but I feel really....proud that I am taking care of her so well. I dunno. Her name is Bella and she's a calico with beautiful tan and grey coloring.

Another plus is that I can bring her with me to Davis. Yay!

Ryan and I have had a really good summer together. We've done fun things and made some nice memories. He'll be leaving in about 2 weeks...if he finds an apartment...but at least we've really made the most of this summer. I would say it's been the best yet for us.

My family's all doing well. Things seem to be pretty much on track. And I met a guy through daviscoeds who is really nice and will serve as my guide when the quarter draws closer.

I am really really excited. I can't remember feeling this optimistic and good in a long time.
